Dateline: March 27th, 2008 The first NCRHA eNews publication! Hope it all works!

The NCRHA Win-A-Saddle Circuit is underway!

The Spring Break Reining in Cedar Rapids was the first outing for 2008 and folks were more than ready to go at again.

Thank you to Mike Davis for managing our important kick-off event and to Joyce Borchardt and Kim Dickey for handling office duties. It is hard to remember to get all our membership and license paper work organized at these first shows but picking out an annual exhibitors number can help the entry process - they are just $5 for the whole season. We enjoyed good weather in Iowa and good sized classes. Its going to be another very fun year.

Congratulations Ashlee Hale winner of the first Youth 13 & U class of 2008 and Dale Dickey, Novice Horse Non Pro winner standing near the banner of new 2008 NCRHA Circuit sponsor "TWISTER TRAILERS." See one of these fantastic trailers at Cannon Falls Trailer Sales, Cannon Falls, MN. Sally Broten was the happy Non Pro champion!

New! Winona Horse Show - April 5 & 6

We have another show just around the corner and just down the road for many of us in Winona, MN, April 5 & 6. This new date on the schedule was constructed to fill the space between our typical March show and the Extravaganza Derby event. A shift in NRHA show dates resulted in many schedule changes, including Extravaganza May 9-11 in Fergus Falls, MN. Winona is a good facility, close to most and was available to run a slate and a half schedule. We hope to see you there.

BIG BOARD NEWS!

It is with best wishes but plenty of sadness that we say good bye to our long time president Monte Anderman. Texas has claimed another cowboy and we know he will be happy there. Leadership duties have been passed to Al Gadola for the year and the whole board extends its thanks to Monte for his service to our organization. We are lucky to have such quality people willing to volunteer their time and energy. We also welcome Steve Harris as an "Appointed" Board member. We look forward to Steve's insightful  contributions. Board Meeting minutes are posted at www.ncrha.com

The eNews project in its infancy and will take some getting used to for us all! I hope to get more email addresses and  your feedback as to how it can serve us all best. Please use cclark@dishup.us as the eNews/NCRHA communications contact address. Ask your other reining friends if they received the eNews (non-members too!) if not encourage them to get hooked up with the new format! I believe everyone will find the eNews to be easy, helpful and even time saving. I am a little worried that some formatting will be lost in translation but please know that it looked good when I pressed send! Let me know if photos or links are not working for you and I will do my best to fix the problem. (Any I.T. people out there are encouraged to send support!!) My hope is that this new format will improve the NCRHA's ability to communicate effectively and more often!

Your intrepid reporter, Diane Clark
